When Tropical Cyclone Signal No.3 or Red Rainstorm Warning Signal is in force, our Forum will continue to be held as scheduled.

When the Hong Kong Observatory announces that Tropical Cyclone Signal No. 8 or above will be issued within the next 2 hours, and it will affect our Forum schedule, we CESHK will notify the cancellation of the activity by individual email message to the registered participants.

Membership fees for 2018-2019

Membership fees for 2018-2019 are:

1. Membership fee only without conference: HK$500 2. Student Membership fee only without conference: HK$300

Membership fees for 2019 Conference registration are:

1. Membership fee + 2019 Conference registration: HK$800 2. Student Membership fee + 2019 Conference registration: HK$500

Membership operates on a calendar year basis, from a yearly Conference through the next.

Complimentary shuttle bus transfer from University railway station (East Rail line) to EdUHK campus on Saturday 17th March

Please see details in the Conference programme. In summary, there will be a number of complimentary shuttle buses at 8:00am, 8:10am, 8:20am, 8:30am, 8:40am and 8:50am from University railway station to EdUHK campus. Between 4:00 and 6:00pm, there will be complimentary buses from EdUHK campus back to University railway station.

At University station, go to Exit B. After the barriers, turn right. Walk around the footpath to your left. You will see taxi stands on the left. The shuttle bus stops can be found along the road. The EdUHK bus stop is towards the end after a number of residential bus stops.

Alternatively, at your own expense, you can take a taxi to EdUHK campus from either University or Tai Po Market railway stations on the East Rail line. Please see the Hong Kong MTR map for more information at the back of the Conference programme.

Complimentary shuttle bus transfer from Tai Po Market railway station (East Rail line) to EdUHK campus on Sunday 18th March

The bus will be leaving at 9:00am sharp. Go to Exit A and turn right after the barriers. Walk along the footpath. The bus will be waiting on the left hand side (the railway line will be on your right). There will be a CESHK Conference sign on the front windscreen (please see attached). The number plate/registration mark of the bus will be GW1629.

Alternatively, at your own expense, you can take a taxi to EdUHK campus. At Exit A, please turn left and walk to the end of the corridor.

Submission extension deadline for papers: CESHK 2018 Spring Annual Conference

Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th March 2018

**The deadline for submissions has been extended until Wednesday 28th FEBRUARY 2018 (23:59 Hong Kong time).

**We are aware that for those of you with China passports, you may require a letter of introduction for your Hong Kong visa application. Please let us know as soon as possible, to ensure that your visa is processed in good time.

A) Conference Themes

The Conference will be organised under the theme of “Meaning and role of education amid global changes and local challenges” and with the following 3 sub-themes:

1.     Basic education: Its equity and quality (Keynote: Prof. Bob Lingard, The University of Queensland)

2.     Lifelong learning and other education: Their potential and challenges (Keynote: Dr Gao Fang, The Education University of Hong Kong)

3.     Higher education: Coping with changes (Keynote: Prof. Yang Rui, The University of Hong Kong)

Applicants will need to identify the theme they are addressing and submit an abstract of 50-100 words. 

B) Submission links and presentation information

In order to enhance the quality of papers, a more rigorous review of paper proposals will be conducted. 

Submissions can either be for an individual presentation (with one or more authors) or as part of a panel presentation.
