The International Journal of Comparative Education and Development

The International Journal of Comparative Education and Development (IJCED), the former official journal of the Comparative Education Society of Hong Kong (CESHK), had in recent years contributed significantly toward the world literature on comparative education, while establishing a sizable knowledge base in its broad scope. The journal will be processed and published under Emerald UK Group from January 2016.

The journal adopts a double-blind, peer-review policy, and contributed by international reviewers. The aim of it is to publish higher quality papers that are of international significance. The journal strives to strengthen connections between research and practice, so enhancing professional development and improving practice within the field of education and human development. We hereby are cordially inviting you to consider submitting manuscripts to the IJCED. Submissions are welcome year-round.

IJCED was included into the Emerging Sources Citation Index ESCI (a database within the Thomson Reuters’ Web of Science ™ Core Collection) in 2018, which was followed by the inclusion into the Scopus Citation Index (also known SJR Scimago) in 2019.

Submission Guidelines:

The IJCED publishes original academic papers and book reviews only in English. A Non-English paper/book review can be accepted for publication after passing the review process, if it can be translated into English by its author(s).

In preparing your manuscript, kindly follow the author guidelines on the link http://www.emeraldgrouppublishing.com/products/journals/author_guidelines.htm?id=ijced. Please note that generally we expect papers ranging from 6,000-8,000 words, all inclusive. The length can vary somehow on account of the quality of the paper and lengths of other papers to be published in the same issue. Your submission may be delayed if the guidelines are not rigorously followed.

The acceptance of publication of your paper in the IJCED will usually be decided within three months after submission. If there is no positive notice to you within this timeline, please consider other options for publication.
