11th Biennial Comparative Education Society of Asia, CESA 2018

Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th March 2018

The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) Tai Po campus

A) Conference Themes

The Conference will be organised under the theme of “Meaning and role of education amid global changes and local challenges” and with the following 3 sub-themes:

  1. Basic education: Its equity and quality (Keynote: Prof. Bob Lingard, The University of Queensland)
  2. Lifelong learning and other education: Their potential and challenges (Keynote: Dr. Maureen Tam, The Education University of Hong Kong)
  3. Higher education: Coping with changes (Keynote: Prof. Yang Rui, The University of Hong Kong

Applicants will need to identify the theme they are addressing and submit an abstract of 50-100 words. 

B) Submission deadline, links and presentation information

In order to enhance the quality of papers, a more rigorous review of paper proposals will be conducted.

The deadline for submissions is FRIDAY 19th JANUARY 2018 (23:59 Hong Kong time).

Submissions can either be for an individual presentation (with one or more authors) or as part of a panel presentation.

Submissions can either be in English or Chinese.

Presentations can be in English, Cantonese or Mandarin/Putonghua.

**If you are wishing to present in Cantonese or Mandarin/Putonghua, you must submit your abstract in written Chinese (traditional or simplified characters). 

C) Forum Registration andCESHKMembership

Membership and Conference fee payments are required in advance from all presenters. If you are a non-member or your membership has expired, please join CESHK or renew your membership*.

Membership is for the current calendar year. Members joining CESHK after 1st September enjoy membership until the end of the following calendar year.
